Diploma of Financial Planning
The Financial Planning electives that the Australian College of Professionals offers are Insurance, Managed Investments, Superannuation and Self- Managed Superannuation Funds.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has set minimum requirements for the training of financial product advisors to give them a set of knowledge and skills appropriate to their activities and the financial products they work with. Anyone who provides financial product advice to retail clients must meet these minimum training standards by satisfactorily completing a training course provided by an authorised Registered Training Organisation.
The Australian College of Professionals is an authorised provider and assessor of these training courses and offers the Tier 1 RG146 Accreditation course for advisors working in the areas of Insurance, Managed Investments, Superannuation and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF). By completing any one of the product area modules, plus the core Diploma module, you will be regarded as being RG146 compliant in that product area, and you may subsequently make application to become an authorised representative under an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). If you choose to complete more than one of the product area modules, you will simply have more Units of Competency listed on the additional Statement of Attainment that reflect these product areas.
The Diploma of Financial Planning courses are offered via distance education.
