Buyers Agency Practices Distance Ed

The Australian College of Professionals conducts a two (2) day course for existing Mortgage Brokers aimed specifically at becoming a Buyers Agent. It is one of the modules required to obtain a Buyers Agents licence in New South Wales.

Being a Buyers Agent is an alternative to general real estate sales. It looks at working solely for the purchaser and acting on their behalf throughout the sale process.

If you are an experienced Mortgage Broker and can provide the evidence (requested below) of your experience, you may be assessed as only requiring to attend this module in order to satisfy the educational requirements for the issue of a Buyers Agents Licence under the provisions of the NSW Property Stock and Business Agents Act (PSBAA) 2002.

In order to be accepted into the Buyers Agents Licence training program, offered by the Australian College of Professionals, Mortgage Brokers must provide written evidence that they:

  • hold a Certificate IV In Finance and Mortgage Broking or hold a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management

  • have at least 2 years experience in the mortgage broking sector (or are being mentored under a recognised system);

  • are current MFAA or FBAA members;

  • are members of an External Dispute Resolution System (e.g. COSL)

 This training forms a part of the CPP40307 - Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) qualification.
