Diploma of Leadership and Management Smart & Skilled
Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. It’s helping people in NSW get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers. This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
A prospective student of the Smart and Skilled program should meet the following criteria:

- 15 years old or over
- no longer at school
- living or working in NSW
- an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
The Diploma of Leadership and Management course focuses on both the theoretical and practical aspects of being a leader and a manager.
Supervisors and managers may work in a wide range of industry contexts. At this level, managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes. They have a role in facilitating the continuous improvement of a business.
The target group for BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management includes those who are looking to manage a business of any size or gain additional skills and knowledge for the current business they are managing. This course would benefit small business owners, supervisors, leading hands, team leaders and department managers.
